Wish I Was There is a collaboration between friends Amy and Driscoll. They have been painting visions of the outdoors while outdoors, creating fantasy lands inspired by geography, sunsets, icebergs and epic creatures.

Wanting to break away from their every day design and illustration lives, this collaborative painting effort, done mostly outside at a picnic table, has been a heartening undertaking and exploration of their skills as artist/painter.

They have called upon the passion of Bob Ross, and all those happy little trees, to create this collection of works, just for you.

Driscoll is from Vermont. But he’s partial to the Pacific Northwest now. He likes to travel. He is a picses.

Amy was born and raised in the wilds of rural Wisconsin, where she developed a love for all things growing green, and all things furry and scurrying. She moved to the Pacific Northwest 18 years ago, following the lure of even greater geographical features. Today she is an accomplished illustrator and painter, working diligently and daily right here in her Portland studio.

Wish I Was There runs from August 5 - 28th at Land Gallery.
