Come celebrate the brand new GrassRoutes Guide to Portland!

These unique guides are chock full of Daniel Laing’s incredible line drawings, illustrating the City of Roses, and for the first time, his Portland prints will be on display.

Taste the guide with local chocolate and coffee tasting from Pix Patisserie and Stumptown Coffee. Yum!

You’ll have the first opportunity to buy the new Portland Guide, get your copy signed, and view the illustrations up on Land’s walls.

The Portland Folk Festival is coming up Thursday, August 19th - Sunday, August 22nd.

We’re excited to be hosting a Kid’s stage in our parking lot on Saturday afternoon starting at 3pm.

For a full schedule and listing of performers check out portlandfolkfestival.com.

Kari Chapin will be in person to sign and talk about her latest book, The Handmade Marketplace .

Her book is all about turning your craft into a sustainable business.

Kari Chapin has spent the past 15 years in the professional world incorporating marketing, publicity, buyer, freelance writer, community relations and stylist as various job titles. As someone who spends a great deal of time with artisans and craftspeople, it wasn’t surprising that one day, a compact fluorescent light bulb went off above her head, and she sat down and wrote The Handmade Marketplace.

She likes tag sales, thrift stores, coffee, yarn, glitter, and paper. She lives in New England with her patient husband, two miniature dappled dachshunds, and one cranky orange cat. Meet Kari at her website, www.karichapin.com.

Emily Martin is exhibiting in Land in June!

Lost on the Midway is a collection of over 25 new paintings and drawings by Emily Martin, alias The Black Apple.

The show will also debut several new dolls created especially for the show, as well as various other curiosities.

Inspired by the world of the Carnival, the show contains portraits and depictions of both oddities and wonderment: Tattooed men (and ladies), dancing bears, a dog-faced boy, a Figi mermaid, Siamese twins, and more await.

Step right up!

Opening Night is Friday, June 4th at 6pm

Sarah Utter is now hanging her show.

It opens on Friday, April 30th at 6pm.
Mecca Normal will be playing at the opening (for free) at roughly 8pm.

The show will run through May 23rd.

She’s showing over thirty pieces. You’ll want to stop by and check it out.
