Artist Nikki McClure returns to Land to share the original pieces from her 2018 calendar. Using only an x-acto knife, Nikki transforms a single piece of black construction paper into something magical. Pulling inspiration from the world around her, she creates a strong, female-driven narrative of life in the Pacific Northwest.

Join us for an opening reception on Friday, October 20th from 6-9pm.

Show runs through November 19th. Open daily 10a – 7p.

Her Own Wings is a gallery show of femme representations of our city, by female-identified Portland artists.

The concept for the show came from show-organizers Andy McMillan’s passion for local history, and his research into the Portland Building and the statue of Portlandia.

“I have been frustrated for some time about the fact that the City tried and ultimately failed to brand Portland with a strong female figure in the early 1980s. So I’m bringing together some of my favorite local artists to try again.”

Show runs July 28 – September 3, 2018

Opening Night Friday July 28 at 6pm with many of the artists in attendance.

Join us for the opening to an all-female, all analog art show at Land curated by Susie Ghahremani upstairs in our air conditioned gallery!

Flora gathers artwork by women working in analog media such as graphite, wood, and fabric. By emphasizing works in tactile media, each artist departs from the digital work commonly exhibited by contemporary illustrators bringing texture and intimacy to each original work.

She’s curious.

She mostly paints and illustrates, but also enjoy making zines and art multiples.

Her work has been shown in galleries, publications and shops both near and far. There’s a sense of play hiding in the painstaking hairline brush strokes of her work.

The show is open daily, free and open to the public, June 24 — July 24, 2016.
